One of the most interesting aspects of the city of Venice, is that people must travel by boats everywhere to get around, using the canals. Lucky for me, I love being on boats! I love the way it feels when the wind is blowing and the sound of the water is humming beneath me! Therefore, while in the city, my mom and I took a water taxi everywhere that was not in walking distance from our hotel. It was great to take a boat to dinner, and to be able to pull right up to the door of the restaurant where we were going to eat! Venice clearly is like no other city in the world.
